Judging by how captivated attendees in the audience were, the Hawaii Young AFCEAN’s first Mentor Meet Up event at the Seven Palms Bar & Grille was a huge success. Young AFCEANs and industry professionals came together for an evening of networking, friendship, food and frank discussion about leadership and lessons learned.
All AFCEA members age 40 and younger were invited to attend. Col Raduege emphasized the necessity of young AFCEANs in the constantly evolving industry and military, stating that, ‘The current generation is growing up in a time of technological upheaval and change is not something that is very difficult for them, so for those of us who are older, where change is a lot slower, you guys are really able to change gears a lot quicker.’
Besides the great networking opportunity, non-members could enjoy this complimentary evening by signing up to become a member.
Special thanks to our Mentor Leadership Panel: Chief Master Sergeant Daniel D. Reeves, USAF; Colonel Chad D. Raduege, USAF; and SES Randall Cieslak, CIO, USPACOM; for providing their candid and invaluable insight; and 1st Lt Kyle Rimando, USAF, for organizing such a great event.
